Joker was excellent. I hope he sticks to serious, dark/gritty films and doesn't go back to comedy.

I also want to see him tackles very very dark comedy. The comedic scenes in Joker were genius. It was very difficult not to laugh despite the grave situations the characters were into.

His comedies had a pretty gritty/grimy feel, particularly the first two Hangover movies. I reckon Phillips could direct more DC movies as he's already steered them in the right direction.
