It sucks when

It sucks when a good actress is underrated. She may have started out in stupid teen stuff, which she probably only got cast in for being pretty and played "The pretty blonde bitch" but the more films I keep seeing her in, she more I realize the girl can actually act. She impressed me a lot in The Innkeepers. I knew it was her after about 20 mins but she looked different in the film, she didn't have a lot of makeup on and had darker hair, and she was acting so different than I had ever seen her, and literally transformed into another character that seemed to come so natural to her. And then in other films, she keeps proving that she can transform into another person, and not act the same in ever film like a lot of actors/actresses do. She takes on a role and turns into that person and isn't Sara Paxton anymore. And I am a straight 28 year old actress who has every reason in the world to be jealous of her, so no I am not saying this because I am a horny dude or because I am trying to troll anyone. I have been in acting since I was 7 and I am now a casting assistant, so I know talent when I see it. If people disagree that's fine but try not look at her like the pretty bleach blonde and actually just watch her and the character she is supposed to be. You'll realize in each different movie she is totally that character, and that is good acting.


It really sucks she isn't in more films or more films with notoriety. She has more range than Jennifer Lawrence. Sorry but it's true. Jennifer Lawrence is the most overrated actress I think I have ever seen. She wins all these awards, and everyone is obsessed with her but she is THE SAME in everything, and in American Hustle yeah she used an accent but she kept slipping in and out of the accent and it sounded awful. Like a theater student practicing and not able to be consistent. She is monotone in The Hunger Games. I can't even watch those they bore me to tears and I think the idea is stupid to be honest. I actually like the Divergent and Maze Runner series more than those and the movies. Shaileene Woodley is a better actress than Jennifer Lawrence.

But anyway it sucks that Sara Paxton can't be in bigger films or more indie films that get accepted into a lot of festivals. I am not sure if she has a bad agent, auditions for not so great films or if she is maybe type casted from the beginning of her career and is being cast aside as the Blonde they might need now and then which unfortunately happens to a lot of young actresses. I actually tell aspiring actresses to dye their hair brown if they are just starting out. Youd be surprised how much they can type cast and discriminate blondes and youll never live down the pretty blonde thing.

I love watching this actress and she deserves more credit for her talent!
