Although he doesn't appear in a large portion of the movie still he proves be great as a jerk for the small amount of time he does appear.
It was rather shocking as I've seen him in house of wax, supernatural, Friday the 13th, plus Gilmore girls where he played palatable characters.
Very much the opposite in this as a antagonistic jerk.

shareI remember his cameo (it's uncredited). Apparently, Tom Welling (one of the 'kids' in CBTD) was looking for someone to play the bully who is actually taller than him (Welling). Jared was on Gilmore Girls at the time and Tom spotted him on the WB lot. Jared is a little bit taller than Tom and so Welling asked him to come do this part.
It has led to Jared and Tom being friends to this day and to many fans mistakenly thinking that Jared had a role on Smallville (as they tend to just see screencaps of Welling and Padalecki together and assume it's from SV).
Ironic considering how Jared's future co-star Jensen Ackles would later become a regular on Smallville with Welling.
