Anti-possession tattoo real?

I was watching Stephen Amell's video about "Dudes Being Dudes In Wine Country" and at the 1:33 mark Jared is shown shirtless on a boat and he has the tattoo on him.
Was just wondering if he actually got it tattoo on himself or if he was just still wearing it after a scene and went boating.

Did some digging online because my daughter fangirled when I showed her the video, and I'm getting conflicting reports. Some say it's real, other say it's not.
Can't find anything from him specifically that says yes or no.

That was a temporary tattoo for the Supernatural episode he was filming at the same time he was filming that segment of Amell's Dudes Being Dudes. Here are some other pics of the two of them from then.
