Jared's great acting

Watching SPN for years now. I really like Jared's work, he keeps me watching the show playing those varied characters; his Sam and not-Sam are great, keep things interesting. I came across an article that says in first half of season 9, Jared playing 3 characters raised the show to new heights. At first I thought from the headline that Jared got taller, but yeah, really enjoyed Jared's performances.

Jared is phenomenal.
How one actor can be three completely different people in one episode and pull it off flawlessly is amazing.

Robbie and Adam (writers) talked about being on set with Jared’s parents, in the filming of one of the last eps of Season 8. Jared was being, well Jared, joking and laughing, when at one point he went and stood about 10 feet away. They said he suddenly started to look really unwell, and his whole demeanour changed, to the point where they thought he must be sick. But his parents assured them it was just Jared getting into character for Sam, in one of the scenes where he’s feeling the effects of the trials

And I love this quote from Mark Pellegrino; “Jared’s an interesting cast because he looks like just the good looking male model guy you’d think just to look at him and that he wouldn’t have the kind of substance that he brings to the part. But he does, like instantaneously.” *happy sigh*

I think it was Jensen(?) that said writers are always throwing curve balls at Jared and he keeps hitting them out of the park. We joke that CW saves money from hiring additional actors by making Jared play different characters.

Haha that's sooooo true! Maybe that's the secret to the show lasting 10 years, get one of the lead actors to play several characters, don't have to hire more actors.

Jensen said that. Except for the brief vampire thing, I don't know why after 9 years Jensen's character is never possessed or why showrunners/writers don't have Jensen do different characters. Maybe it's part of the character being the human cornerstone of the series, that's my guess. Everything new the showrunners and writers throw at Jared he respond by putting out great performances.

I admire Jared's performance too, it never gets boring in part because his character is kind of a mystery and also for reasons you mention - playing different characters in the same show.

I really think Jared should read "The Unfinished Ballad" by Lynn Perry. He would make the perfect Jeff Devereux. Awesome novel and based on a true story. Its on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. Jared has the perfect build and overall look for thischaracter. If they made a movie...he'd be perfect.
