Kind of shocked. Ophuls is one of the major directors of the 20th century. It's cool that he was Stanley Kubrick's favourite and had a major influence on his style.

He's a privileged evil white nazi supremacist male. He deserves to be cancelled and erased from the history of movies.

My personal favourite is The Earrings of Madame De...
Le Plaisir, La Ronde and Letter From An Unknown Woman ...are also great.
