Anyone have any stories about meeting Ed?

I met him in the late 80's ('87/'88) when he came to a mall in Little Rock,Arkansas with Katey Sagal to sigh autographs and do a meet and greet.My dad was a HUGE MWC fan (as was I) so he took my sister and me to get autographs. Katey was pleasant but kinda all business with me (i was a kid after all) and she and my dad playfully flirted about the "Peggy Bundy Walk". Somehow i didn't see Ed next to her and started to walk away when he called out to me to come back and that I'd forgotten about him. So i went back, shook his hand and he personalized a picture with "Your pal, Ed O'Neill" and really went out of his way to make me feel like a friend. He was just a really good guy and it was easily the best experience i've had meeting a celeb.

I've been a fan and supporter ever since.I'd be shocked if Ed's changed a bit.He's just a genuinely good guy.
