Yes. And?
Washington or Foxx or Rock or Jackson etc. They are all English sounding names. Wanna take a guess why?

I can guess why.

But Irish?

Perhaps Sinead O'Connor and Shaquille O'Neal are related.

They both have Irish last names and bald heads. Maybe?

Anglo-Saxons owned slaves in the U.S. Few Irish did.

Since around the 1960s, black people seem to just make up first names with no etymological precedent. Just imaginative things that sound good to them.
