Irish accent?

Does he normally have an Irish accent? I've only seen him on TV and he's always American.

Jason does speak normally with an Irish accent and uses an American accent for his television roles. He used to work with a dialect coach to help him develop an American accent and pretty much has it mastered by now.

The American accent actually linguistically evolved from a combination of accents, the Irish accent was a big part of its evolution.

a testament of his true talent. Look at Russell Crowe his thick Aussie accent is always there same with the Irish accent of Colin Ferrell but not Jason.

he got to use his normal voice today in Life on Mars. Loved the line from Chris when he says "you're really good with the accents".

he is really talented and I hope he finds more stuff to do after Life on Mars!
