OK, I admit to being part of that - but Frances' problem is she's had few roles that have given her a chance to shine. And when she has, the powers-that-be seem not to have noticed.

What's wrong with you, Hollywood? I first saw her (a fellow Australian) in Love and Other Catastrophes, and have always thought she was brilliant. By now, people SHOULD be saying 'X looks like Frances O'Connor'!

I'm assuming the Embeth Davidtz thing is a joke, so I want to say a big thank you to you for asking what on earth is wrong with everyone else here. I came to this Frances O'Connor page to once and for all find out how old she was, and I am absolutely stunned to see these endless lists of people she supposedly looks like. While there are a few in there who she resembles, perhaps in a way that one might resemble a relative, for the most part I'm thinking that these people haven't actually seen Frances O'Connor. Or maybe weren't wearing their proper corrective eyewear when they did.
