She definitely gave the best performance in the movie. Hillary Swank was ok, but Frances's portrayal of Lucy Burns really rocked it.
The scene where she was talking to Alice Paul (Hillary's character) about how she was lonely, tired of being just a crusader with no love in her life... was just so poignant. Great actress and movie.

shareMy professor showed us this movie in my mass media class. We were all obsessed with it. O'Connor really brought the character to life and for once I actually enjoyed learning. Mansfielf Park also really helped in my english novel class, like I have time to read Mansfield Park, Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Great Expectations in one month.
