To be honest, I really love this movie (Gerry Butler is amazing!!) and whether or not it did well at the box office is besides the point as far as I'm concerned. But I was not impressed with Frances in the movie, if you want the truth. Guess that's just my point of view, but I didn't think she was that great.

The movie would have been good, but she and paul walker are solely responsible for screwing up the whole thing. Her acting is entirely suckish in everything she's touched.

I LOVED Timeline. Though frankly, I love almost anything with time travel and set in the past. I am a historical costuming buff, so the thought of actually visiting the world I've been pretending I live in absolutely thrills me. Anyway, the movie was amazing - my dad and brother loved it too, and they are kind of picky. Frances did wonderfully. Since I saw Timeline I keep seeing her in other things and she always impresses me.

I agree with Zara, the movie was good aside from her and Paul. But I've never seen her in anything else so I can't tell you if she was bad in anything else. lol

And Paul Walker isn't always bad, I've seen him do ok before.

I thought that Frances played a really cute role in Timeline. I was hugely disappointed by the film itself, as I believe Michael Crichton's original novel had so much more potential than what ended up onscreen. Paul Walker was atrocious, and Billy Connolly was miscast, but Gerard Butler and Frances were the strongest points of the movie IMHO.

The movie is entertaining. Paul Walker was the weakest point, I believe. But Frances did a commendable job, even if she was paired with Paul. Gerard Butler and Anna Friel were awesome.

I agree that Gerard Butler and Anna Friel were very good in this film. I think it is a great movie. I feel that Fances was a draw back. She is the anti romantic woman. Cute but no sex appeal at all, except if t you count the unattainable not open to men thing as attractive. (Many woman do) I found her performance to annoying and counter productive to the plot.
