He did! He performed at Madison Square Garden in the late 60s or the early 70s. Anyway, he was poorly received because the audience didn't want to hear his current stuff at the time. They wanted to hear the songs he sang in the early 60s. That experience inspired Garden Party.

It's kind of nice. out of a bad experience, he ended up writing one fine song that put Ricky Nelson back on the map.

He did, to reminisce with some old friends, share some memories, and play some songs again. I hear he didn't have a great time however.

When I think of Ricky it's dressed in a letterman's sweater with an ice cream soda in front of him at a table with Wally circa 1960.
