It's Scottish his real names laughlain. It's pronounced lach or loch(loch is scottish for lake) Laughlain means land of the lakes. I knew the first part of the name but I learned the full meaning just now. I'd imagine they spelled it lochlyn to make it easier for people to pronounce.
