Alexander

Hi whoever is out there,
it's me again, I just saw alexander, yeh I know that's late, but you know... I couldn't see it earlier, it wasn't released before, so I went to see it the first day it was shown in the cinema here...

well, I really liked the performances, Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie did a great Job, they were amazing, and who was really good and should be mentioned was, guess what, Joseph Morgan!!! But that's not just because he's cool, he really did his scenes amazingly good, and if you look at him in the background, cause he's unfortunately not in the front of scenes alot, he's stoll acting really good, tho most ppl might not even recognize his work, which for me makes him one of the greatest talents of today...
I'd like to know wether he took acting classes... I bet he did, cause he's just really good, he's soo brave when he dies, I wonder if it's kinda annoying to die so often, but well, if he dies, that's at least one more scene ;)

But the movie itself wasn't that good, unfortunately, I will tho, of course, get it, but... yeh, what can I say, I really didn't like the fact, that some things were too long and others too short, well, there wasnt really stuff too long, but many too short ones, like for example the scene, after Alexander had been "banished" I didn't really get the fact, that he was still having an army, and that his father was dead... ok, that came out later, but they could at least have been telling the story about him not being banished, if this is what happened really, I'm still not sure... The other thing was Philotas dying, I didn't feel the shortness of it, I mean, they told he was tortured and didn't say a thing (he's soo brave, such a hero! ;)) but... they didn't even wait a minute to let him be killed, well, That's how it came across as for me: They stay in the room sitting there and not going with alexander, which stands for the complot and the next second someone is giving him the poison and he finds out and the next second Philotas is talking, but you don't hear anything but his conclusion, so alexander says his opinion and the next second he is already tied to that post and he's killed, and afterwords in the next second they say he was being tortured before... that's so fast, I don't think showing him being tortured would have been a good idea, but they could at least have been talking about it before he was killed and they could have waited a few scenes before, cause it was so rough...
What didn't like as well were the fighting scenes, you didn't really get who is winning or losing and it was too fast and too blurred, I got a headache watching it...

well, ok, this sounds really bad, in fact all together I liked the movie, but I was a little disappointed, cause I didn't really like some of the crew's work, but the cast and the story and some aspects were soo cool, the movie could have been a great one, if everything had worked out as well as the performances did! Whatever, Joseph was amazing, like colin and angelina, so the movie is defenitely one you should have seen, and if you like colin or joseph you should even buy it... If you like Val Kilmer... you shouldn't buy it just because of him, cause... what can I say, he doesn't really look that cute in that movie... ;)
