Not aging well

So I'm here watching Skinwalkers and the first thing I thought was hey that woman looks like Rhona Mitra but it can't be her because she looks way to old. I looked it up quickly on my phone then that my suspicions were in fact correct. Fast forward to midway through the movie when I find out that she and Jason Behr's character were an item. My initial thought is he looks a lot younger than him. Lo and behold I come to imdb to find out that she is younger than him. What's more surprising is that she was 29/30 when the film was shot. She's either not aging very well or has bad genes.

Hardly but there are several actresses her age who don't look close to 40. Hell, I know women close to her age in my actual life that look significantly younger than her. I'm not say she isn't attractive but she looks a lot older than her age. Just off the top of my head

Piper Perabo- they were born in the same year but Piper could pass for someone in her mid-late 20's.

Gabrielle Union is actually 4 years older than Rhona but she looks a lot younger she too looks like she could pass for someone in her 20's.

Amy Davidson - She is only 3 years younger than Rhona is but is actually older than Rhona supposedly is in Skinwalkers.

I bet over the course of time she will age much better than those actresses you name. She has classic features

Not likely, and the women that I named with the exception of Amy do not look like teenagers. They look like women to me.

Here's my comment from the "Only 33???) thread:

"There are some women that have a teenage "look" that can last into their 40's or more-(Sally Field comes to mind)

On the other hand-

There are women that look like WOMEN starting at an early age.

(Both Rhona and Monica Belucci fit into that category)

In rare photos where Rhona actually has a big smile-

She looks MUCH younger!!"

I thought the same thing as the OP. I do not mean this as an insult or to be mean but it does seem like Mitra has not aged as gracefully as others. I remember being first introduced to her in the late 90's when she became the first model to portray Lara Croft. Then I remember her being in Hollow Man. Five years later she had a guest run on Nip/Tuck and looked much older. There was something off about her mouth/jaw area. What surprises me is that she is only thirty four.
