Elizabeth Mitchell would be perfect as Emily Van Camp's mom!!!! ABC have her on contract already, she is a tough cookie, great actress and a perfect fit for that show!

That is your opinion. She is an Emmy nominated actress that has been on two high profile ABC shows. Lena Olin is never getting the part so get over it, she was already Sydney's mom on Alias and she looks nothing like Emily Van Camp, Elizabeth Mitchell does and fits the profile of the character they are looking for. In the end of the day its not up to you or me. I still say Elizabeth would make a great choice.

The character of Amanda is blonde dumb ass not brunette, look at the flashbacks of when she was 8 years old, people do not go from blonde to dark brunette. Its impossible.

Emily Van Camp and Elizabeth Mitchell actually look alike outside of them both having the same hair color. Whether you like it or not Elizabeth Mitchell is a popular choice, she is a capable character and she fits the character. I agree. I think she would be perfect as Emily/Amanda's mother. However, unfortunately, I've just read that she's joined JJ. Abrams "Revolution" as a series regular.
