Why does she have to put pauses into everything she says?

Didn't like her in LOST, don't like her in Revolution. I don't know why these shows are throwing us all these old blondes that are supposed to be attractive, with their straw dry hair and botoxed faces.

The worst is her line delivery. It almost always follows a pattern, devoid of motion, quietly spoken, and with random pauses thrown in.

"Maybe we should regroup, and come at them at night........ Miles,"

"I always want what's best, for you.... Tarlie" (She can't seem to say 'Charlie' either)

"Be calm. There are bombs falling, and bullets flying. You just lost your face.... Tarlie. Could you please, come over here..... Aaron. Do you think you, could help me, find Tarlie's face.... Aaron? Has anybody seen...... Miles?"

ENOUGH of her, and all the other old blondes with their dried out hair and expressionless faces!

1. She isn't old. She's 44 years old. If you think 44 years olds are old, then it's your problem.

2. She's not supposed to be attractive. She IS attractive. Objectively speaking, she's very gorgeous even without make-up. And even then, she's not supposed to be attractive in Revolution, in a post-apocaliptic world, women have a more natural look. And that's why the "dry hair".

3. You seem to have a problem on how people talk? It's not her problem if you get annoyed with something as silly as that.

4. See her close-ups in scenes. Even if she doesn't let her emotions go, you can still see her holding them back. Something as subtle as raised eyebrows, frowning, wider eyes or stuff for the like. It's called "subtle expressions", which people have in real life as well.

5. You dislike the actress, fine. But don't call her bad. She was nominated in several awards mostly on her role in Lost. She just got Saturn nominated weeks ago.

"Frozen face".

Why people come up with same old used excuse for every actress they dislike? I find that strange. As for the smirk, I find that she doesn't smirk as much as people make it out to be. She's also very good a being subtle with her emotions, yet I think she can say as much with them. Not many people seem to catch this. But she's a terrific actor!
