Really great to watch his Captain Kirk in Star Trek Continues

The whole series is a lot of fun and very well done.

I know, right?!

I've been singing the praises of this series for awhile. Mignogna nails Shatner's slow-slow-fast speech pattern and alpha male posturing so well that you soon forget that it's not Shatner.

It's fun to see actors from the original series and other sci-fi classic series pop up in cameos... almost like Easter eggs.

The writing varies from passable to very good.

I am just watching Lolani with Lou Ferrigno ... ugh, he is a terrible actor, and the skin on his arms absolutely look very alien. The show is great though, and Mignogna totally looks like Kirk from certain angles. Mostly the other actors are not as good, the Spock clone has no charisma or gravitas.

I have to admit I'm loving the Kirk style double-handed punching and leap-kicking against Lou Ferrigno! It is so funny, but also nostalgic for the first Star Trek series! Fantastic!

You know what's impressive is that Ferrigno was about 65 when he filmed this. That dude is still seriously jacked... he didn't look any different to me than his Hulk days.

He was good in Lolani.

As I watch a few of these Star Trek Continues episodes I realize how important and connected to Star Trek the music was. All those different themes coming in and out ... it really got me as a young viewer of the original series when it came out.
