I'm dreading his death. Ok I've seen his death scene on Youtube and it came off far better than I thought it might thanks to their unique twist but still, it's hard to imagine Rome without Brutus now. I love al of season 1 except that scene with Pullo and Cleo, Brutus or no Brutus, but I have to admit that I liked episode 2 of season 2 less for there being no Brutus and had similar feelings about episode 4 because he only had one scene. I loved 1 and 3 though.

Good spoiler you dopey idiot.
Yes he's a very good actor, way to screw up the show knob.

Sorry to say it, but if you know Roman history, it's been a spoiler for two thousand years.

I am watching Season 2 of Rome now and I agree that this actor is very special. Him and the guy who played Cicero, David Bamber - you can tell that they were stage trained and true enough, both are from Rada. Brutus is a very complex character and Menzies gives a very nuanced performance. Even though he is a "villain," you feel great sympathy for him and he imbued the character with a lot of dignity.

David Bamber too as Cicero. He really stands out in his subtle performance. Gosh this series is full of great performances that it is hard to single out which one is better than the other.
