He is an amazing actor, eloiseshf. I posted the Golden Derby webshow on the Outlander board and felt obliged to write a warning that all the Derby posters were huge fans of Tobias and he was primarily who they talked about. I still don't understand the hostility toward Tobias, but whatever.

I learned that he has a supporting player contract which is why the producers couldn't nominate him in the Guest actor category - they were sure he'd get a nod in that category and probably win the Emmy. One of the Derby group who actually is a member of the television committee said that if Tobias had been nominated two years ago under the older Emmy rules, he was pretty sure he'd have one by now. I think he'll get one eventually. By the way, they all loved episode 12 and though Tobias knocked it out of the park. I was sorry he didn't appear on the season finale of Game of Thrones but I think he'll show up next season.

He is one of my favorite actors too. I can't wait to see him in Underworld: Blood Wars. I have not kept up with my Underworld movies. I have only seen the first two. Does anyone have a clue if he is a vampire or Lycan? Or something else? I think he will absolutely kill it, just because he can play menacing very well. And that voice....

According to what I've read, Tobias plays a mysterious lycan named Marcus. I saw a photo of him being fitted for a plaster body cast. He said the role required a lot of wire work and fighting. By the way, the director was female, one of the directors who worked on Outlander so it all links together.

As digitaldiva wrote, he is officially credited as Marius, a new Lycan leader, but an Underworld fan pointed out to me that in an interview he says he plays a ... vampire. Which could be:
a) that he mixed the two up
b) that the journalist mixed the two up (most likely)
c) that he plays a hybrid
