Tobias in Letter's II

I guess he's finished shooting Outlander completely. Tobias did an event last night in London, Letters Live II with some of the greats of the British stage and screen. The Reviews Hub gave him the strongest review:

In an evening of great performances, standing above them all, however was Tobias Menzies reading a letter from Sherlock-to-be Basil Rathbone serving in the trenches of the First World War, writing to his father shortly after the death of his brother, in which Rathbone barely conceals his grief behind jibes at his brother’s impatience to die first. Menzies, an actor who is always particularly adept at subtly conveying deep emotion, was mesmerising, bringing a raw and intensely felt quality to Rathbone’s words which was both beautiful and painful to hear.

I wish that I could afford to travel to London to see him in person. It's a shame that it wasn't recorded and posted so that those can't afford to see him in person can watch his readings.

I agree, meerschweinchen. I'm hoping that Broadway is on his agenda, but he'll be tied up with television for a while. I love the way he manages to work in the stage into his busy schedule.
