For the people that 'think he's soooo hawt'...

You need to watch episode 2:3 - "These Being the Words of Marcus Tullius Cicero." You get a glimpse of "little Brutus"!!!

Personally, aside from his looks (which I will agree with most of you that he's "hawt"), I think he is a phenomenal actor. Although I've yet to see anything else he's done, I imagine it takes considerable "acting chops" to pull off any character in 'Rome", let alone one of the main ones. I imagine he's just as good in any other role he's played though...

Aside from Tobias, I'm also astounded at the talent Max Pirkis (Octavian) shows! To think, he was probably only about 15 or 16 during the first season... simply amazing! Such amazing talent on this show - I wish it could run a bit longer.

You're so lucky getting to see series 2 of Rome. I have to wait until March because i'm in the UK. Not fair at all.

Does anyone else think that Brutus doesn't get as much notice taken of him by the press and even HBO themselves as many of the other characters such as Vorenus, Pullo and Atia, even though he's one of the most significant historical characters? It annoys me that he's barely mentioned on the DVD extras yet I'm sure most of the other principle characters get to have bits of interviews shown and they also have magazine articles written about them and their character too. Of course we don't know if that is down to Tobias not wanting to do it but if bugs me - he is in the Making of Rome video on the HBO site so he can't be opposed to publicity.

Fellow UK fans, watch out for him as William Elliot in Persuasion, also appearing in March. It had better not be the same day and time as Rome...

Ah Marie, I remember you... your comment reminded me ;) You may think I'm lucky to be in the US because we can see "Rome" now, but you'll be able to see "Persuasion" months before I will! I adore that story!I always wish it would receive more attention that the more popular "P&P"... BTW, did you ever see the Ciaran Hinds version? He was quite attractive back then

No, I didn't. I've never really got into Austen despite my interest in the Regency era - I've always preferred the more modern stuff. I've only read Pride and Prejudice and haven't got around to watching any of the adaptations. However, Persuasion shows up at my library I will read it, If I was able to choose between Persuasion and Rome though I'd definitely pick Rome.

I think the entire cast of ROME is just phenomenal. I've only recently began to take notice of Tobias on this new season, I had no idea he was in Finding Neverland, and I watched it. He needs a movie role that will cast him more "center stage", if its what he wants. Most actors like to keep it on the down low. He seems to be very humble and shy away from spotlights.

Anyway, I look forward seeing him in Persuasion. From what I read, looks like Persuaion will air in America around Christmas time. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Brutus' death wasn't really accurate. Does anybody have any ideas why? I liked the visual parallel to the scene of Caesar's assassination though...it was very clever. But if that was their intent in not having him commit suicide, I don't think they really pulled it off.
