What we know is that he's only in one episode and that he's "responsible for bringing someone back, that you think you're never going to see again".
Season 5/book spoilers and wild speculation beyond this point:
The above quote from McShane would point to either Brother Meribald (who resurrected Catelyn Stark as Lady Stoneheart in the books), the Elder Brother (who may or may not have resurrected the Hound), some kind of merger of the two, or an entirely new character. Maybe he's talking about bringing back Jon Snow? But I think that's gonna play out differently, with Jon warging into his dire wolf Ghost, for a while at least. And Mel is on her way to him anyway, so why bring another red priest there?
It would probably be Jon Snow he would bring back to life if that's what his character is going to do.

Probably Victarion Greyjoy. But maybe Damphair Greyjoy or even Mad King Aerys Targaryen II?
