After promising a fourth and final season of Deadwood, HBO now says that the upcoming season 3 will be the end.

This will leave the storyline hanging in mid-air, as season 3 is already in the can.

What a horrible, horrible thing to do to the best show on TV - ever.

HBO did the same thing to Carnivale. This new trend says they can't be relied on to follow through with any series.

i agree! i am loosing all faith in HBO. they have left their original series high and dry for the second time. and now, show time is coming up with the better original shows. I'm now getting hooked on "Dexter". HBO is loosing viewers. They need to do some thing, before they loose out too much. Right now they don't have any thing quality on Sunday nights, so I'm on Showtime.
