Lindsey In The Lovely Bones

Rose McIver has been cast in Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones", as Lindsey Salmon, the lead's little sister. It's a pretty important role. This information hasn't been listed yet, thought I'd let you know.

Two New Zealand actresses have joined the star studded cast of Lovely Bones, Peter Jackson’s latest film project.

The Auckland 18-year-olds will play key roles in the movie which begins filming in Pennsylvania in October.

I wish her the best of luck in this part- it could be a big break!

I'm curious that she's 8 years older than the girl playing her younger sister. In way it makes sense since Lindsey grows up and Susie doesn't, but it might make those earlier scenes odd when the 13 year old girl looks 21.

but that's just my opinion.

I thought the same, but yeah, Lindsey gets to grow up. I'm sure it'll be fine. How young does Ellen Page look? Another good example is a movie I just saw (The Oldest Confederate Widow) where Diane Lane (at age 28 or 29) plays a completely believable 14 year old, then goes on to play the character to a ripe old age, gray hair and all.

Also when Rose played Alice in Legend of the Seeker, we saw her character grow over the years. Plus with what they can do with CGI now I'm not to worried. I am so glad to be seeing her in a big role like this and I hope that she gets noticed!!
