shareIMDB has her birthday wrong- she was actually born October 10, 1988. So during filming, she was 18/19.. but yeah, she's still 5 years older than Saoirse!

share1 year difference.. you also have to remember though, time passed since her character died, so her "younger" sister passed her in age, after she died... so in later scenes her sister was in fact older...
shareRight, she spends more of the movie as her "older" sister where Susie stays 14 forever. Her sister grows up, gets married, buys a home, has a baby. The actress had to have the versatility to appear younger for a few scenes but then surpass Susie, as Susie watched her sister grow up without her.
