Wonderful actress but I refuse to believe she's only 45

I was just thinking the same thing.

1968 would make her 35 in "The Last King", and she looked 45 in that movie/series.

I had to laugh when I read "only 45".
45 is not THAT old and it isn't until people hit their mid 50's does their age really begin to show itself and so what if it does? We all are getting older. It's a fact people.
But I find Helen to be charming. Apparently she finds no need to succumb to the vanity of a youth obsessed public, yes THE PUBLIC, who demands that actresses remain looking 25 years old.

This. So. Much.

And the most important thing is her craft. She's a really talented actress. Saw her in "Medea" - easily one of the best British theatre performances last year.

Actually it is difficult to believe she is in her mid 40's. However, she is very pretty, and I still find her rather attractive.

reply

Her face did not age that well, I would probably think she' s in her early 50s if I did not know her age. However some people age worse than others, and despite the lines, she still is a very attractive and sexy woman, I like her lively eyes.

reply

Me too
Her hair in PD didn't do her any favors either
