Should have won the 2000 primary instead of Bush

I don't know if McCain would've been a good president or not, but he definitely wouldn't have picked Cheney as his VP, that's for sure.

I’m curious what you mean by “should have”. Do you mean he would have been a better president, or he would have lost the general election making Gore president? Is it just that you like him better or do you think he was cheated? You criticize picking Cheney- do you think Sarah Palin was a better pick?

The former, regarding your first two questions. As for the Palin question, no she wouldn't have been the better pick, (She's the reason I ended up voting for Obama/Biden back in 2008, didn't vote at all in the 2012 election) but considering that she was mostly famous for being the mayor of a small city in Alaska at the time, I highly doubt she would've been on McCain's radar for his VP pick back in 2000.

No, she woul not have been the VP pick then. Still, picking her suggests poor judgment or desperation.
