She started out as a child actor and had been a complete nobody until recently. I'd say she benefitted more from her sister's success than from her family background.

I saw Kate Mara in a dozen different movies and TV shows years before I ever saw Rooney Mara in anything, so I don't buy that she's piggybacking on Rooney's success at all.

Wellington Mara and family own the NY football Giants for decades. Both would not sniff Hollywood. The regular folk now , have less of a chance because of all the nepotism, from within Hollywood itself, or other celebrity undertakings, like music, sports etc.

Does anyone care? I certainly don't.

Heck no - no way she deserves to be an actress - she is terrible and so plain looking I htink a plate of pancakes is hotter than her.

if she were so good she'd have way more fans yelling at the top of their lungs hhow great she is.

Not only is she a Mara but a Rooney as well. Goodness - everythign that is wrong with hollywood!
