shareHeh. I'm a married woman and I had an innocent (but BIG) school-girl kind of crush on him. Then I saw Magic Mike and my crush got a lot less wholesome.
My husband is one of the most hetero men I've ever met, but I think he has a man-crush too. He doesn't want to have wild sex with him (as far as I know, unless he is the best actor in the world and has been since we got married over 10 years ago) but when "Big Dick Ritchie" popped up on the MTV movie awards, we both kind of giggled through the entire bit. I think it's the whole women want him, men want to be him thing too. Think every straight guy goes through that at least once in his life. ...reminds me of the story/bit Louie CK told on a special and then on a talk show, where CK met Ewan MacGregor at some showbiz event and almost right away found himself thinking, "I'm not gay, but I'd suck his dick."
He took me to see Magic Mike (which I didn't have to talk him into very hard) and he looked pretty happy when his character showed up. Not as happy as I looked, but still. Besides the cougars in the theater going to see MM in little groups, I noticed quite a few other 'date night' couples. Every guy w/his GH/date/wife there next to them, regardless of race, age, and income levels started out rolling his eyes and looked like they were thinking his wife/girlfriend owed him big-time for seeing it together, but by 30 minutes in, got over THAT really fast. None of them that I could see texting on their iPhone, etc. I did a visual survey a couple times, and none of them were slumped down in their seat, or looked like they'd rather be anywhere else but the theater showing the movie.
So hey, as a straight man, you've sure as hell got lots of company!
Everything that you see, I owe to spaghetti.
