Potential Future James Bond?

After seeing Madden in Game of Thrones I've been wondering if he has the potential to take up the mantle of 007. Admittedly I've only seen him in the one role (I can't really count his brief screen-time in Chatroom) but from what I've seen he has the talent, charm and charisma to play Bond. Also many other posts I've seen about his acting on both stage on screen have been positive and paint him as a talent to watch out for.

The biggest point against him right now is his age. However Craig is doing anywhere from 2-5 more Bond films putting Madden in his early to mid 30's by the time the role becomes vacant, which I don't think is a bad time to start.

Just thought I'd throw it out there and see how people react.

It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.

I don't know. As much as I like him, I think right now he is too young to consider even for potential.

For now, I could see Michael Fassbender being a contender.

Well obviously he's too young now but Craig will likely be in the role for another 4-10 years. I have no doubt Fassbender would make a great Bond but there's a danger he'll be considered too old by the time the role becomes vacant. This is why I'm skewing younger in my choices. But as it stands too old or too young is an assessment that you can't really make until you know exactly when you need your actor to start.
All I was saying is that I feel Richard Madden has demonstrated the qualities I would look for in a 007 actor and could maybe be one to watch for the 7th or 8th James Bond.

It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.

I agree. From images from events, he wears a suit very well and he has the genuine charm that Craig has.

Agree. Radiotimes cover proves it

I was thinking this last night, he would be an ideal replacement for Daniel Craig which wont happen soon, but I think he could pull it off.

I can't imagine a Ginger James Bond. Kit Harrington would be a better choice.
