When Darcy helps Elizabeth get on the carriage and then spreads his hand as if electricity went through it.

Oh my God, there are so many. First and foremost, would be at the end, the morning after the aunt tries to persuade Lizzie to stay away from Mr.Darcy, where he is walking through the fog to come and tell her he still loves her and his feelings haven't changed. My second favorite is when it is raining and he confesses he loves her (most ardently) and they get close to each like they are going to kiss but don't. Also, when he and Lizzie smile at each other when they are about to speak to her dad about getting married. Also, when Lizzie mistakes his sister (playing the piano) for another woman and he runs after her and they both are uncomfortable and at a loss for words. Or the ball scene where he is following her around to get the courage to ask her for a dance.

Yes, there are so many in that movie. I agree with all your choices. I also like the ballroom scene where everyone is dancing and he and Caroline Bingley walk through the crowd. It's almost like he's walking in slow motion during the film. I like his expression as he's moving through the crowd of dancers and I wonder if Darcy is doing this to get a closer look at Lizzie. I watch the Dvd so many times, and each time I'm impressed by the way Keira and Matthew play these characters. I start noticing the all subtle quirks and expressions they do to make Lizzie and Darcy real. I don't think I'll ever get bored with this movie.

I love this film too and watch it repeatedly. Caroline Bingley's character was great too.

She doesn't mistake his sister for another woman, she just feels like she shouldn't be there because of the way she kicked him in the balls by refusing his proposal...
She knows that that (obviously VERY YOUNG) girl is his sister, she just doesn't want him to see her there.

Read the book.

That was my first impression that it was another woman. I thought that is why she left abruptly but yes, I guess she is too young to be considered that.

Why in the world would some girl who looks barely 12 years old be "another woman?" Elizabeth knew suddenly that the Darcy family was home and got the hell outa there.

reply

Point taken but Lydia Bennet wasn't too much older that that and she married Mr. Wickham.
