One of my Favorites

Richard Lynch was. He starred in just about everything & there was a time when he was “in” everything. From the “Puppet Master” movies (Well at least PM 3) to “Vampire” to “Halloween”, “Deathsport”, “Invasion USA” with Chuck & a movie I loved as a kid & had forgotten all about “The Sword & the Sorcerer” with Matt Houston himself, Lee Horsley.

He was a good villain but there were other times he played regular bit parts. Interesting life he seems to have had. He speaks a few languages fluently so he’s educated. I’ve learned that his only son predeceased him which sucks to have to bury a child. Christopher Lynch was only 35 at that. So the man has had some heartbreak in his life.

I’ve read a short bio on him on IMDB & he talks about 2 men he’s worked with for years. Producers, directors. They both seem like a couple of characters, have to find out more about them. I’m glad to have grown up when he was doing the majority of his stuff. Here’s to you Richard! Rest in peace!

Seemed really creepy in Invasion USA and played the villain role prefectly.

Yeah but he wasn’t your typical heavy, he per his own words “Looked for the humanity” in the villians he was portraying.

Many people say that they confuse him with Rutger Hauer. Me? I for one never did, I mean I probably may have thought of Rutger when I watched Richard’s film’s & the other way around. They reminded me of each other but I’ve never mistaken one for the other. Lynch looks totally different than Hauer, they don’t have the same look but again they can remind you of each other when you watch their films. Hauer since he was a A-lister for a time played on a bigger stage than Richard Lynch, so there’s no mistaking their body of work but Lynch also has his “big” movies as well.
