Just saw Rogue One and..

I am curious to know, was he a soap star in his heyday? His performance felt weak as piss.

I agree that his character was the worst of the movie. I have seen the dubbed version of this movie, so I suspect it was more a bad character writing than his fault (I mean: there is not a single decent character in the movie)

I completely agree!!

His acting was like a soap opera actor. IMO he didn't deserve to star in a Star Wars movie. But I'd say that for about half of the actors cast in Rogue One, very average acting.

Yep, guest star in a couple of telenovelas. Totally agree his performance was terrible, I guess they put him in there to fulfill their Latino demographic quota.
