Shocking that there are (currently) only two topics in the forum of such a brilliant filmmaker.
Chaplin may be the filmmaker from that era who became (much!) more famous but in my opinion Lloyd's work has stood the test of time better in the sense of pure enjoyment. The comedy of films like Safety Last, The Freshman and Girl Shy still works really well.
