shareHe sounded good on certain songs, like "Orgasmatron," but otherwise had a lousy voice IMHO, one of the worst in hard rock/metal. No disrespect; I owned a few Motorhead albums. He was a quality soul and you have to respect his musicianship, as well as how prolific he was. I just didn't like his voice, except a rare song here & there.
shareMaybe not a great voice like Pavoratti, but a distinct, raspy voice that works if you want to hear something rough.
shareI've got to believe his rasp was exaggerated. He did lead vocals a couple times when he was with Hawkwind, and he had a relatively normal singing voice.
