I'm Asian and its really getting intolerable that Good Looking Asian men like Byung and Rain and Jay Chou get no chances, no roles in US media.

Byung is called the Asian Brad Pitt and he can't get a gig in the USA? Jay Chou is called the Asian Justin Timberlake and he got mocked for his role in Green Hornet.

Enough already its time to demand Asian's get normal, non goofy, non chop socky roles in the USA, like every other culture who are here in America and is represented fairly like the Hispanics and the blacks. We demand the same fairness.

Its time to blame the Hollywood directors and Producers, (I know all Hollywood is run but 1 race 1 nationality, its not hard to figure that out look at the credits and the type of last names that pops up) they are responsible for keeping us Asians down, its time for action its time to demand change.

Jay Chou and Rain lack charisma and don't deserve to get any good acting jobs. They both suck as actors. Byung Hun on the other hand is a fantastic actor who really does deserve credit.

I really hate it when they are called things like "the Asian Brad Pitt " or the "Asian Tom Cruise". It's insulting.

I agree that is insulting, I didn't use it as a moniker or a nick name, I wrote it just to illustrate my point that these actors should get more recognition on their own merits. They are as famous if not more even more popular consider how much bigger that Asian entertainment market is.

But you are right they shouldn't be compared.

I think those monikers are a way to give an American equivilant, so the American audience can visualize the actor better. E.G Rain is an Asian heart throb. Much like Pitt

Ew don't compare Rain to Brad Pitt, Rain is on another level! He's is known more for his singing, but given the right role in America or any other country he could actually act his way out of a box, unlike Brad Pitt.

After plan B is plan C, and after that, D. You know how the alphabet works.

+ in addition to be talented, I believe BHL is universally attractive.
Many girls might say "I don't like asian" but when they see him they will change their mind
he is gorgeous. Can'T wait to see him more in worlwide release movies

Well, it's actually okay, in Asia, Justin Timberlake is the American Jay Chou.

Just putting in terms the local can understand.
