Hugh Laurie's connection to Rachel/Ross thing(take a break thing)

Last night's House episode, the Blind guy mention about he took a break with his girlfriend, mentions the Rachel/Ross thing.
Pak also had done it in the past with her Ex.
I got a big laugh out of it, because i remember Hugh Laurie's connection to Rachel/Ross thing

If was kind of funny almost 15 yr past, people are still call it Rachel/Ross thing.
Hugh Laurie' actually was connected to it.

Back in 1998 before "House" TV show, when Hugh was already a talented British actor, well known to audience from British and Commonwealth countries.
I grew up in New Zealand; I love Hugh Laurie long before "House"

He was trying to make it in America; one of his first breaks was on "Friends"

A small guest (extra) role on one of the episode “The One with Ross's wedding"

I still remember it because of Hugh Laurie was on it.
Rachel was on plane to London to stop Ross's wedding, and she was whining about the whole take a break thing ,and it was Ross fault and all, annoys the gentleman(Hugh) sitting besides her .
And Hugh's character can't stand her, and told her something like "You are going to ruin Ross's happiness day of his life, and it wasn't Ross's fault, and they were on a break"

He was the first guy on screen say it out loud and support position on the took a break thing.

It was a small role , it helps Hugh add "Friends" on his C.V probably a small step on his role to stardom in America.
His role was guy who got annoyed by stupid people, and just say what he think of their personal mistake out loud to their face. Kind of like Proto-House

I've never watched House, but grew up watching Friends. Cool that it got a nod in a recent House episode. Whilst i liked the London (being a Londoner myself) episode of Friends, I felt it was probably the start of the time when Friends started to go downhill.

I only came on here because I'm watching Blackadder 4th yet again, and thougt I'd check up on Laurie's latest.
