The one nomination I wanted to see...

So sad that she didn't get one of the four nominations (I say four, because Meryl Streep did a movie this year so she automatically gets one, right?)

The best actress category is not that strong this year. She carries a bulk of this movie. Her scene with Waltz in the restaurant is agonizing. Well, to me, she was the best actress this year. I don't have a statue or anything, but let's see...I have a coupon for some baby yogurt. Congratulations!

Mélanie should have been nominated

They could have replaced either one of the Up In The Air actresses with Melanie. I'm thinking they would have moreso considered her for supporting rather than leading since it was more of an ensemble cast and no one person was the main character.

She really deserved a nomination, at least for supporting actress. Her performance was really underrated. Christoph Waltz deserved every bit of that nom, and probably the win, but Melanie deserves some recognition too!

I don't get it either. How ANYONE who saw Basterds could fail to give her a nomination is beyond me, especially considering all the applause Christoph Waltz has gotten (and deservedly so). She was fantastic in every single scene.
