Incredibly overrated
Anyone agree?
shareAverage singer with above average looks.
shareBeyoncé Knowles? Nonentity.
Beyoncé? Beyoncé who? People have a given name and a family name. Animals have a single name.
LEGENDS have 1 name: Elvis, Marilyn, Cher.
This is not a legend. Homer wrote legends.
"LEGENDS have 1 name: Elvis, Marilyn, Cher."
Well, not to pick nits, but Cher is the only person there who used a one word moniker as a stage name. Elvis and Marilyn are certainly known by their first name but they used their full names professionally, as you know.
But before you single out Beyonce, maybe save some of that rage for:
Adele
Pink
Sting
Eminem
Liberace
Morrissey
Rihanna
Bono
Dido
Jewel
Prince
Robyn
Martika
Lorde
Sade
Flea
Beck
Coolio
Fergie
Enya
Nelly
Madonna
Shakira
Slash
Shaggy
Seal
Bjork
Halsey
Usher
Sia
I could go on. So you see, it's not necessarily only legends who go by one name (although there are a few artists there who some may consider legendary). It's just quite common in entertainment these days. Nothing to get upset over.
And you deleted yourself. Big surprise. What matters is the name the PUBLIC gives the artist, not what the name the aspiring artist arrogates to him/herself. Yeah, it IS a big deal, Deleted. Language matters.
shareI cannot figure out how in the world Beyonce became popular but she seems to be a huge mega star. I didn't even know who Beyonce was until I got the single of Destiny's Child's No No No and then I realized she was the lead vocalist and she was amazing for someone only 19 years old. But if you look at the general picture ever since her solo debut album came out and the single Crazy In Love came out Beyonce had indeed changed her image and when her second album B-Day came out you could tell she was ready for success thanks to her role in Dreamgirls and having the song Listen as a bonus track on the album helped B-Day sell. But if you look at Beyonce's new albums she has a new image and I think she hopes to become the new Janet Jackson and follow the same road that Janet did. But I think Beyonce will continue to go far but will retire from music and focus mainly on movies
shareyep I hear no difference between her and all the other singers that do similar music.
shareShe's a bargain-basement Tina Turner.
shareNope, it is impossible for Beyoncé to be overrated, she is truly the greatest singer/performer of this generation.
No one compares.
