Re-watched the Rodgers clip and would like an explanation of this...

Ok, I tortured myself and re-watched the Rodger/Epstein clip and in watching it, any person with a quarter of a brain will see such comments were made in jest. In other words, IT WAS A JOKE. (PS....I'm not a Rodgers fan at all)>

So my question is this - why has there been so little pushback on Kimmel on this because here we have a talk show host that makes a living out of jokes and making light of other people. That is his bread and butter and he gets angry when someone makes a joke about him?

I don't get it. I have not seen one comment in the public where someone points this out and it is just another example of how Americans are so horrible at context in almost anything.
