I tend to find the female cast members funnier but I think he is my favorite male SNL cast member ever.
It's weird how in the old days guys like John Belushi could be barely funny at all and become legends and a guy like Taran Killam who is a million times more talented and funny than John Belushi barely gets any recognition.
Does he have to overdose on drugs or something?
Yes, he's great. And I've been watching the show for literally ever.

That is kind of true---he's obviously one of the standouts on the show, yet i don't get the feeling that he's really being promoted as such. Oh well, at least he gets a lot of the good parts. Frankly. SNL seems to be only as good as its hosts nowadays,so the fact that he even stood out to me says a lot (that and the fact that the whole SNL cast almost looks so alike that I almost can't tell them apart anyway--plus he also stands out because he clearly looks so different from the rest of the cast.) Like his unusual name,too.
Yeah, he's one of the few consistently great cast members on SNL! His impressions are always great, his comedic style is actually funny (SNL isn't nearly as clever as it thinks it is IMO, but he makes me laugh every time), and in conjunction with his dreamy looks, he's a good actor in general. I feel like he should be appreciated a lot more and would love to see him in all kinds of movies down the road!
shareYes Taran Killam is very good on SNL. He's very versatile- for one thing he can pull off the supporting characters in sketches that Chris Parnell used to handle. His great performance in the successful (12 million views on Youtube alone) sketch "Undercover Boss: Star Killer Base" is a great example of the work he does on SNL so well.
