Could he ever break through as a major star in America?

I don't mean if Aamir Khan would break through to Indian audiences, that happened ages ago. I mean like, the way that Jackie Chan or Jet Li had careers in Hollywood movies for a while (it petered out but he was in a lot of stuff, leading up to the Expendables, or for Chan to go back to China for a bit). Is his style too much the Bollywood type or might his method or style work in a Hollywood movie?

He surely possesses the sets and skills to go one up, but don't think he would unless the characters he is offered are meatier ones, unlike the ones offered to Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

Aamir Khan is the greatest actor of all time in my opinion, he would do well everywhere.
