There is a thing now where we build someone who has no history or a mythologized history up into some kind of genius leader and then market him or her as a Presidential candidate. It hides the dreadful reality of most of our politicians who are bought and sold, or just hugely wealthy or widely known and loved for being actors or business people. What we see of them is all manufactured image, it's like rolling the dice or spinning the wheel of fortune for a leader, probably worse than depending on a king's genetics to produce a son who can live up to their father's legacy.
