Love the songs, just watched the Jolson Story for the first time in years.
Great film.
He's remembered for doing blackface. He's canceled.

After a huge splash with the first major sound film in 1928, his career in movies tanked quickly, and by about 1930 the mainstream considered him a has-been. Now, nearly a century later, well. He's one of those performers who has nothing to offer the modern world.
