Very monotone on SOA

He rarely shows emotion which sucks because so much of the show ties into his life, and he is the lead's best friend.

I feel he shows so much emotion that is why I like him the best. He is torrmented internally.

Actually, Ryan is very talented in showing Opie's emotions on his face. If you need an example - season two. Brilliant actor. I'll miss him.

This guy is by far my fave in SOA...and I shed a tear in s05 episode 3...

His character is stoic and guarded; hence the "emotionless" voice. You have to look at his face and eyes to see what is really going on with him. His acting was superb on SOA.

I have to agree with kevin. I am just now watching SOA and I'm almost done with the 2nd season. He is usually expressionless. I understand that he's playing the strong silent type but this is a visual medium. I hope that his character becomes more 3-dimensional.
