Very monotone on SOA
He rarely shows emotion which sucks because so much of the show ties into his life, and he is the lead's best friend.

shareI feel he shows so much emotion that is why I like him the best. He is torrmented internally.

Actually, Ryan is very talented in showing Opie's emotions on his face. If you need an example - season two. Brilliant actor. I'll miss him.
shareThis guy is by far my fave in SOA...and I shed a tear in s05 episode 3...
shareHis character is stoic and guarded; hence the "emotionless" voice. You have to look at his face and eyes to see what is really going on with him. His acting was superb on SOA.

I have to agree with kevin. I am just now watching SOA and I'm almost done with the 2nd season. He is usually expressionless. I understand that he's playing the strong silent type but this is a visual medium. I hope that his character becomes more 3-dimensional.
