Why do people always act like it's so wrong to be curious about someone's sexual orientation? Curiosity is a natural human instinct.

It's natural to be curious.

It's childlike to never have an unexpressed thought.

Why would you need to know the sexual orientation of someone you'll never sleep with?

Actually, sexual orientation is a HUGE part of ones IDENTITY.
It's like asking, what's their nationality, age, are they married, etc... It's IDENTITY.
It's human nature to be curious of others they are interested in knowing more about. And it doesn't seem like the OP has malicious intent in knowing the answer.

The people asking this question ARE NOT asking what kind of sex acts they do behind closed doors.

The irony is that overly PC people who condemn this question are the ones with dirty minds, singularly thinking it's only about sex acts/positions.

Why do you think open-minded people will say to closeted gay people, "You should be YOURSELF."?

Again - Sexual orientation is a huge part of one's IDENTITY. Stop thinking sex acts.

Ask a random straight man how important is their sexual orientation when defining their IDENTITY.
