Josh needs a show! I think he earned it.
Someone needs to write a show for Josh, or find a script for him. He is just too damn good not to be a star, or co-star on a network show, or even better, a series produced by HBO, or FX, or AMC, Netflix, etc.
These companies get banged for content, and realized that they have the cash to get the top writers, directors, and everything else they need to create content.
This comment does not pertain to Josh, but look at Showtime. Someone realized that you have lightning in a bottle with Falco not working - Like the chicken or the egg - I don't know what was first, the script, and someone with the full blown casting chops said "let's she what Falco is doing?" Or, did someone write it for her - but either way, great show, huge hit.
FX put it together with Son's of Anarchy - another top show, plus I don't think it even gets enough exposure. I saw a 30 second commercial and said OK, I'll bite. I will watch an episode. Maybe not for everyone, but Kurt Sutter (show runner) knocked it out of the park. I got hooked a few years ago, but it has wound down to it's last season. Sutter proved himself as a writer, got a shot, and another one out of the park.
I could continue with more examples, but the point has been made. JH could do a drama, a drama-comedy, whatever. He has depth, but he also can break out the snark.
There are probably many thousands of scripts, sitting on desks, that might need a little help, and a few bucks up front, or on the back-end and you would have the next Dexter, or Mad Men, which are both wrapping up. True Blood and Boardwalk Empire are over (not that it isn't time, especially with True Blood).
I realize something new & creative doesn't fall from the sky, but I bet there is something already sitting in that desk somewhere, with Josh's name on it. This guy has just too much talent to let it waste.
