In hell, where he belongs
Nuff said.
sharewhy? he was only trying to be a good spy
shareThe principal on the art school should be in hell as well, if he didn't refuse him none of this would've probably happened.
shareYes, plus the military should have never kicked him out..Hitler wanted to stay in the Army!
shareIt was the only family he really had. His mother dying seem to have been what really gave birth to Hitler as we know him though, something happened to him after that. With all the things going against him in his life it's understandable he would have a breakdown sooner or later. It just happened to be one on a global scale.
shareOne guy I knew from Europe told me Hitler was "all or nothing". He abusive dad was high on Austria so Hitler defied him and was super high about Germany. Hitler was a horrible student, liked to stay up late at night and essentially was very lazy. He also was tyrannical as a kid. His mother's doctor was Jewish and Hitler protected him, calling him a "noble jew". He loved being in the trenches during WWI because he could do mostly what he wanted at night. He would talk and argue with anyone about politics and he was good at it even then. Anti-semitism was rampant so it wasn't like Hitler started it, he also had read books about past German myths of being superior and he bought into it. Remember, his dad was Austrian so Hitler just had to be anything his father didn't like. He went blind a couple of times, when Germany surrendered he went blind and his doctor thought he was a psychopath. Once again, all or nothing. Once he got released from the Army he walked into a beer hall and there was a socialist group(just a few men) just looking for a leader. Oh boy was he the man for the job.
shareYeah. There were probably many "Hitlers" walking around at the time like ticking bombs. Just a matter of who would be the one to speak up first and say follow me. Basically unavoidable. They might've not taken it as far as him though with the whole world conquering thing.
shareHe was a joke to most of the German people for a long time. He failed miserably with his "Beer Hall Putsch" except he won a lot of sympathy by a lot of closeted nationalists. I think Hess wrote Mein Kampf, he was in prison with Hitler and did all the typing. Hitler came up with the idea to win the long game, instead of taking over the govt he would win via election. Brilliant because how could he ever expect to do that when he was a running joke to the public? The depression saved him, got him elected and he gave an order to Himmler within a month after declaring himself dictator to begin rounding up the Jews. A diabolical genius.
shareI think you're right there were a lot of Hitler's during that time. Germans were looking for a "savior" and there is not a word for "saviors" in the German language. There could be only one. When a society opens a hole like that there will always be a Hitler, Manson, Osama, Mussolini to step right up. Hitler also copied a lot of what Mussolini did, two men doing the same shit at the same time and they're neighbors, not just a coincidence. They died within 72 hours of each other.
shareHe wasn't a principal. It was Christian Griepenkerl. He taught form and style. Hitler wasn't a good artist. Its not Greipenkerl's fsult that Hitler went into politics.
Greipenkerl is my great great Grandfather. His works were destroyed by the Nazis snd he continues to be bl as med for hitler. He was an artistic hardass that artists hate, but he's not responsible for hitler.
Bad artist or not, if he took him in he wouldn't have gone down the path he did, probably.
shareNot true. Hitler was already radical before he attempted to go to art school. The Nazis existed before Hitler came into the group. They would have found another voice to pull off their crimes. Socialism was breeding tyrants and fascists in multiple countries at the time. What your suggesting is the same tripe neo nazis use to push blame onto jews and others for Hitler's crimes. Blame Hitler for his decision. He could have become a grocery store worker, street sweeper, or plumber instead of political tyrant. That decision was his alone.
shareSources?
shareHitler didn't do this on his own. Too many people think that historical events are hinged on one person. The truth is that there is very little in history that depends on a single person. It's not like Hitler got so many people to fall in line, they are already in line and he just exploited the larger consciousness of the culture that he existed in.
shareSo true, he copied a lot of Mussolini's antics and ran with it. Hitler told people what they wanted to hear.
sharehitler was a product of the times
share"Hell" is a fictitious place or state of being in Christian and some other mythologies. However, Hitler's charred remains have rotted and disappeared from existence, which is fitting.
